How to do a sound check

Once you have selected the BPM (Beats per Minute) and beat to back up your vocals, a moving bar will be visible across the screen. The color of the bar will range in color from pink to yellow and green, depending on how well the app picks up your vocals. Make sure that the bar turns green in order to get the best sound quality.

What if the bar doesn't turn green?

If you are struggling to get the proper sound quality when using the app, try the following tips:

1. Make sure you are in a quiet environment and approximately 5 cm (or a pinkie's length) from the mic, so that unwanted background noise won’t take the spotlight away from your voice.
2. Use earphones or headphones - recording your vocals without using headphones/earphones will negatively affect the quality of the vocal recording.
