When importing your tracks into our application, these become locked to a grid which is why checking for latency becomes very important. If there is latency, looping and transitions will cause small gaps of silence, which ultimately affects the final production as it results in timing issues against the vocals.
There are several reasons why you might experience latency. In some cases, it can be caused by third-party plugins - even when latency compensation is engaged. This is why we recommend using a “clean” DAW project, void of plugins, for the bounce. If your tracks are side-chained, this can also cause latency.
If you need to correct latency, start by moving the whole stem so that the first hit is perfectly aligned to your grid. Then, move the marker to the end, and double-check to make sure the track plays in sync with the beat.
