How long does it take until my royalties are paid out?

Once we have released your music on streaming platforms, Starmony will start to collect the royalties for you. Please note that it will take a while before you can see your total earnings. This is due to the complex process of royalty reporting between the streaming platforms (like Spotify), distributors, and us as the publisher. For example, royalties that you have earned in January 2023 would be visible at the earliest in March 2023, and royalties generated in February 2023 will at the earliest become visible in April 2023. And so on.

How much royalty you earn is a result of the number of streams you manage to rack up! So by promoting your song more, the sooner you get the first of hopefully many royalty payouts.

As soon as you have reached at least 50 USD earnings, we will report this to you and provide different options on how to collect the royalties. You are then responsible for reporting and paying any taxes that are applicable to you as an effect of the royalties you've generated.

We are currently working on a way for you to follow your royalty stats every month, so you can keep track of how much you’ve earned through your music.
